CASR Part 33 – Airworthiness standards for aircraft engines

CASR Part 33 was developed to specify the airworthiness standards for aircraft engines. The airworthiness standards for aircraft engines were in Australian Civil Aviation Order (CAO) Part 102.

CASR Part 33 has been based on foreign legislation, specifically the USA's Federal Aviation Regulations Part 33.

Who Part 33 affects

CASR Part 33 affects people who:

  • design aircraft engines to be used in the Australian aviation community, or
  • design modifications and repairs for aircraft engines.
