Regulatory Advisory Panel (RAP)
CASR Part 21 subpart H
Consideration of Light Sport Aircraft [LSA] Regulatory Proposals
In 2004, the CASA CEO issued a directive that required that a Regulatory Advisory Panel (RAP) be established in relation to each CASR Part under development. The work of a RAP was to be separate from and additional to the consultative arrangements through the Standards Consultative Committee (SCC).
The role of the CASR Part 21 H RAP was to consider the development of the LSA legislation and provide advice to the CEO as to whether due process has been followed in developing the proposed CASR Part (amendment) and the content of relevant documents is consistent with the Government's regulatory best practice for reviewing and reforming legislation.
