Project CS 08/02
Consequential amendments relating to airworthiness requirements for RPT aircraft with MTOW not above 5700kg
Background
CAO 101.4 allowed issue of certificates of airworthiness in Transport Category for aircraft with MTOW more than 3500kg and type certificated in the Normal Category in contravention to CASR Part 21. To correct this anomaly CAO 101.4 was cancelled. To allow an aircraft with MTOW exceeding 3500kg and type certificated in the Normal Category to operate in RPT operations under the provisions of CAO 82.3 amendment to the CAO is required.
Purpose/Objectives
Amend subsection 6.1(a) of CAO 82.3 to add reference to "Normal Category" and associated airworthiness requirements.
Rules affected
