Purpose/Objectives

The increasing incidence of windfarm proposals and higher stack velocities is creating confusion and contradictory CASA responses. Existing advisory material for CASA's assessment of windfarms, exhaust stack plumes and obstacles in general is not adequate in defining a risk-based assessment process.

This project sets out to provide clear, unambiguous guidance to the community and CASA staff for risk assessment of possible hazards to aviation.
