CASA head visits Cairns
The Director of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), Mick Toller, is visiting Cairns on Thursday 15 April 1999.
Mr Toller will detail the operation of the new arrangements for air operators servicing remote regions such as Cape York and Torres Strait.
New aviation rules have increased air safety in these regions while allowing air operators to carry fare paying passengers to isolated communities.
CASA is working with air operators in far North Queensland who choose to take advantage of the new regulations.
