No decision on changes to airspace procedures
No decision has been taken by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority on changing the procedures to be used in airspace when normal air traffic control services are not available.
A report in today’s Australian newspaper that procedures have been changed is simply not correct, CASA’s chief executive officer Bruce Byron says.
“CASA will not allow any changes to be made to current procedures unless it can be demonstrated they will enhance operations,” Mr Byron says.
