Official guide to Australia's aviation industry

An official guide to the Australian aviation industry is now as close as your fingertips.

A new easy-to-use database of information on the nation’s aviation industry has been launched by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.

CASA’s internet site now features detailed information on both certified air operators and maintenance organisations.

An updated search facility allows users to quickly find an aviation business and access key information.

Air operators can be searched by categories including scheduled passenger services, foreign operations, cargo, charter and aerial work.

People wanting to learn to fly, upgrade their skills or undertake check and training can use a special search facility to find the flying schools they require.

This search tool identifies flying schools by the types of training they provide for different categories of licences and pilot ratings.

All information can be searched nationally, or restricted to a particular state or territory.

Certified aviation maintenance and manufacturing organisations are being officially listed on the internet for the first time.

This means people in the aviation industry will find it easy to locate the organisation they require by simply using the search engine.

Maintenance and manufacturing organisations can be searched in categories which include aircraft maintenance, component maintenance, aircraft design, manufacturing and training.

The major upgrade of CASA’s internet information on the Australian aviation industry has been undertaken as a service to the aviation industry and travelling public.
