Ansett 'Mark II' meets safety standards
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority is satisfied that Ansett 'Mark II' meets all appropriate aviation safety requirements.
CASA has no objection to the airline starting new operations from Saturday 29 September 2001, with A320 aircraft.
CASA has been provided with comprehensive reports on the new Ansett operations by the company's administrator and staff.
These reports covered company structure, management arrangements, staffing, facilities and operations.
A review of the reports by CASA technical personnel shows Ansett 'Mark II' has the correct staff and resources to operate the A320 aircraft to Australia's safety standards.
CASA thanks the administrator and Ansett staff for their work in providing important safety information in a timely and professional manner.
