New English language proficiency standards were implemented on 5 March 2008. The initial phase of implementation has now ended.
From 1 June 2008, pilots wanting an updated copy of their flight crew licence including their language proficiency assessment will need to pay the standard fee of $25.00. Use form 1137 if making a payment.
Approved language test centres
CASA has approved several language testing centres to assess aviation English language proficiency. These centres are authorised to assess at all the defined ICAO English proficiency levels.
These centres can assist individuals, large groups or schools in the task of assessing aviation English language proficiency.
