Update on CLWA & CLWH
Time permitted for exam
On advice from industry instructors and CASA's experience with the time allocation for other Air Law examinations, the time allocated for the 40-question CLWA and CLWH examinations has each been increased to 2.0 hours.
Clarification on one of CLWH (re-grouped) items
Due to the use of auto-paragraphing on the Helicopter Day VFR syllabus document, some versions of MS WORD may display different paragraph numbers to the CASA document. This clarifies what subsection 8, paragraph 8.15(d), 1st dot-point/(e)(iv) of the syllabus state, as follows:
- para 8.15(d), 1st dot-point - select cruise levels to comply with VFR and the table of cruising levels
- para 8.15(e)(iv) - determine ETD/ETA after considering VFR (Day) requirements and flight/duty time limitations
