CyberExam bookings with ASL

Introduction

CyberExams uses the Internet to deliver flight crew examinations to authorised venues. More…

ARN (Aeronautical Reference Number)

To book a CyberExam sitting, candidates will need to have an ARN (Aeronautical Reference Number) issued by CASA.

An ARN application form must be completed if a candidate does not have an ARN, ie. held a flight crew licence, aviation medical or AME licence etc. Identification must be provided with the application form. To assist in the transition to the new ARN form, only 1 type of photographic identification (drivers licence or passport) will be required. A CASA Delegate, CFI, ATO, or anyone in Australia able to witness Statutory Declarations may certify these as a true copy. Faxes may be submitted until the information is made available more widely.

Assessment of eligibility to sit exams

The CyberExams system will not allow candidates to sit for an exam without having the appropriate pre-requisite qualifications or exam credits, or if the exam has already been passed.

For candidates converting an overseas flight crew licence, the pre-requisite is the assessment of the overseas licence before applying to sit the exam.

This requires presenting the licence, medical and logbook to a CASA office and filling out the application form/s for the licence.

Applying for an ARN and an assessment of overseas licences

Applications for ARNs can be submitted through any CASA Area Office. Exam candidates should lodge their ARN applications in advance of when they are required to allow for any delays in issuing the ARN or assessing the licence.

Applications for assessments of overseas licences should be submitted at the Area Office where the flight test form will also be lodged. If a flight test form is lodged at another office, there may be a delay in issuing the licence.
