The CASA Examination System
Photographic ID Acceptable to CASA

A candidate must provide a photographic Identification Document (ID) acceptable to CASA as proof of identity before he/she may be permitted to sit a CASA flight crew exam.

An acceptable ID shall be limited to one of the following documents:

  • Flight Crew Licence Identification
  • Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC)
  • Aviation Identification (AVID)
  • A driver's licence from any Australian State road transport licensing authority that has not expired for more than 2 years from the date of exam sitting.
  • A current ID of a serving member of the Australian government (State or Federal) public service or statutory body, which must carry either the official Australian Commonwealth or Australian State emblem.
  • A current ID of a serving member of the Australian (State or Federal) police or Australian military.
  • A current International passport.
  • An Australian passport that has not expired for more than 2 years from the date of exam sitting.
  • A 'Proof of Age' or 'Proof of Identity' ID issued by the Australian Federal or State Police, or an Australian State Government shop-front.

No other photo-ID will be accepted.
