Functions
The General Aviation Operations Group deals with all operations with aircraft of less than 5700 kgs, including fixed and all rotary wing aircraft, sport aircraft and parachuting activities. Priority is given to low capacity regular public transport and charter operations. Its functions include regulatory services, surveillance and development of initiatives that make a contribution to aviation safety.
The Group includes the following functions:
- Safety Oversight Branch
- Group Business Strategy Branch
- Operations Branch
- Airworthiness Engineering Branch
