Functions
The Finance Office is responsible for the full range of financial management and procurement services in CASA. These include coordination and development of CASA's external and internal budget; preparation of monthly financial reports and annual financial statements; financial services including accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, taxation and project accounting; monitoring, analysing and reporting to CASA's Executive on CASA's financial position; providing advice to CASA's Executive and senior management group on financial issues and providing strategic financial advice to the CEO.
Procurement services being provided by Finance include recommending procurement policy in line with Commonwealth direction, providing procurement advice and assistance, taking the lead in high dollar high risk procurements, and providing support in contracting.
The Finance Office is also responsible for CASA's property, security and asset management functions. The Finance Office administers Government funding arrangements, monitors excise receipts and maintains the integrity of financial data through a centralised general ledger encompassing a comprehensive set of accounting applications including accounts payable, accounts receivable, assets and projects.
