The Section is responsible for issuing new production approvals under Part 21 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 (CASR), and oversight of those manufacturing organisations which have been issued with production approvals.
The Manufacturing Section is also responsible for the oversight of authorised persons who have been issued with Instruments of Authorisation to provide services related to the aviation manufacturing industry.
