Cessna 177B

Avington Station is approximately 60nm southeast of Longreach and this particular landing was only the second aircraft after the strip had been flooded - the first was a Cessna Conquest which went through the thin crust and had to be towed in by a tractor. The flight was to raise funds for the Helicopter Rescue Services in South East Queensland in 1997.
