CASA Letter to all Registration Holders and Registered Operators who may be affected by cancellation rules
CASA has sent a letter to all Registration Holders (RH), and to Registered Operators (RO) where the RO is not the RH, detailing the requirements of the regulations in relation to the transfer of ownership of an aircraft and the application by the new owner to become the RH.
The letter is titled 'Transfer of Ownership of an Aircraft registered under CASR 47 'registration of aircraft & Related Matters', & Associated Safety Considerations.
The purpose of the letter is to inform the RHs and ROs what must be done when the ownership of a registered aircraft changes.
If you are the owner of a registered aircraft you should retain the letter as a reference to remind you, and the new owner, of the required action if you sell your aircraft.
No action is required in relation to the letter until a change to the ownership of an aircraft occurs.
