Approved Testing Officers

This listing supplies the names and business contact details of individuals who, according to CASA's records, currently conduct flight tests for the general public. The listing is updated regularly.

The Director of Aviation Safety may delegate CASA's powers under CAR 5.19 or 5.41(4) to conduct flight tests. People holding these delegations are known as approved testing officers or ATOs. Delegations are made by formal Instrument of Delegation. Delegations may be limited to certain flight tests. Instruments of Delegation may impose conditions on the exercise of the delegation.

While CASA has taken reasonable steps to ensure that this listing is complete and accurate, CASA makes no representation that any person identified from this listing is presently entitled to exercise CASA's powers as a delegate in the manner indicated in the listing.

Each person who wishes to utilise the services of an ATO for the purpose of undertaking a flight test should confirm that:

  1. the ATO's Instrument of Delegation is current
  2. the Instrument of Delegation covers the flight test required
  3. any conditions set out in the Instrument of Delegation are satisfied.
