International Guest Speaker and David Lowy Lecturer is Dr Sally Evans, Director of the Medical Department, CAA UK.
Other speakers include Prof Phil Stricker, UNSW; Prof Les Bokey, USyd; Prof David Bryant, UNSW; Dr DAvid Bell, RNSH and Dr Warwick Stening, POW and UNSW.
The annual dinner is being held as a harbour cruise and the after dinner speaker is well known aviation documentary maker Jeff Watson.

If you wish to apply to become a DAME and have not yet completed any Aviation Medicine training, please refer to the 3 approved courses below.
Approval of your DAME application is not limited to these 3 courses. If you have already obtained qualifications in Aviation Medicine (including international or defence courses), please include details and a copy of the award certificate with your application.
Postgraduate Certificate in Aviation Medicine
This course is recognised as an appropriate qualification for doctors seeking appointment as a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner for the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
Australian Certificate of Civil Aviation Medicine - Monash University
This two week on campus course introduces medical practitioners to the medical aspects of civil aviation in Australia and satisfies CASA's requirements for basic training of Designated Aviation Medical Examiners (DAME).* The course is held at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne.
Students also visit Air Services Australia at Tullamarine (including a visit to the control tower) and have the option of experiencing a 737 flight simulator.
These active Learning Modules have been approved by the RACGP QA&CPD Program - Total points: 60 (Category 1)

This Post Graduate Certificate in Aviation Medicine offers medical practitioners a foundation in civil aviation medicine. This course is recognised as an appropriate qualification for doctors seeking appointment as a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner for the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
Aviation Medicine Qualifications - Otago University
The Wellington School of Medicine, Otago University offer a range of internationally recognised courses in aviation medicine. The one year part-time Certificate in Civil Aviation Medicine course provides the core AME competencies required by ICAO and CASA.
Doctors who want to specialise in aviation medicine usually take the taught, four year part-time Masters in Aviation Medicine or the three year Diploma and Certificate combination.
