Endorsements - Aircraft class or type code
The requirements for issuing aircraft endorsements are set out in the CAOs.
The CLARC flight crew licensing team has been receiving endorsement notifications from delegates which do not have the correct aircraft type code.
Example.
- Pilot obtains an endorsement for the BEECH/RAYTHEON BARON.
- Delegate enters B58 on the logbook sticky label.
- The correct entry is BARON/TRAVELAIR
The codes to be used for aircraft endorsements are listed in the appendices to CAO 40.1.0.
Please ensure that the aircraft class or type that you enter in the pilot's logbook is the same as the class or type listed in the CAOs.
