10.1 Roster Limits
10.1.1 Subject to the para 10.1.2, the maximum duty period shall be 14 hours.
10.1.2 Where the duty period includes a time free of duty of at least two hours, the duty period may be extended up to 16 hours.
10.2 Limit on Flight Time
10.2.1 The maximum flight time limits which an operator shall roster, and which a flight crew member shall not exceed, are:
- 10 hours in any 24 consecutive hours;
- 120 hours in any 28 consecutive days; and
- 1200 hours in any 365 consecutive days.
10.3 Time Free of Duty
10.3.1 The time free of duty shall be a minimum of ten consecutive hours. Where the time free of duty encompasses the hours 2200 to 0600, the time free of duty may be reduced to 8 hours.
10.3.2 In any 14 consecutive days, a flight crew member shall have two periods free of all duty, each of which is a minimum of 36 consecutive hours.
10.4 Operational Restrictions
10.4.1 All occupants of aircraft operating under this part are to be directly involved in the conduct of the operation, and their presence on the aircraft essential to the operation.
10.4.2 Where, in any seven consecutive days, operations are conducted under
a different Part, all duty, standby and flight time limits of the more restrictive
Part are to apply.
