Arrangements
Following are the arrangements regarding Trans-Tasman aviation regulation, signed between the Australian and New Zealand governments and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAANZ).
- Arrangement Between the Australian and New Zealand Governments on Mutual Recognition of Aviation-Related Certification
- Operational Arrangement Between the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia and the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand in Relation to Mutual Recognition of Air Operator Certificates
Eligibility for consideration for an Australian AOC with ANZA privileges
In accordance with the Civil Aviation Act 1988, CASA must receive advice from the Secretary of the Department that the applicant is eligible for consideration for an Australian AOC with ANZA privileges. How to apply
Operators who hold a current Australian AOC, and wish to apply for an AOC with ANZA privileges, are required to:
- Send a letter to your local Air Transport Field Office in accordance with the required form of application advising of your intended operations to and within New Zealand;
- Gain approval for a Transport Security Program.
