CAR 35/36 authorised persons
CASA appoints people as 'authorised persons' for the purposes of CAR 35 and/or CAR 36 to approve the design of modifications and repairs and/or the replacement of an aircraft component with another aircraft component. Appointments are made by formal Instruments of Appointment. These Instruments impose limitations and conditions on the appointment. The limitations and conditions vary in the scope of repair which may be approved and the discipline area (e.g. structures, avionics, mechanical systems).
