Aviation Safety Advisors

Meet CASA’s Aviation Safety Advisors
Malcolm Wardrop

After six years in the RAAF, I joined the then Department of Civil Aviation as a Flight Service Officer. I saw service in Melbourne, Tasmania (where I learnt to fly), Northern WA and NSW, finishing my career as the Manager of Pilot Briefing at Tamworth. It was also in Tamworth where I achieved my CPL, CIR and night ratings.

In the early 90s I joined BAE flight training college as a theory instructor. During this time I became the Quality and Safety Manager as well as achieving my degree in Adult Education. In 2002 I transferred to Adelaide and became the Manager of Ground Training with the now re-named Flight Training Adelaide (FTA). Later I became the Manager of Flight Training for FTA.
